Vacuum Former

I have been looking at building a vacuum former for a while and when I finally got the time to do so, I built this Vacuum Former. I had been looking at many homemade ones online but the following was the most comprehensive:  http://mynocksden.com/diy-vacuum-former/tools-for-the-job.html. Obviously I made some alterations to our unit with a couple of changes and additions so that it was not a complete copy. I made the unit from one and a half sheets of MDF 18mm, mirroboard and 2″x4″ Timber. The heat source we use is two 1.3kW infrared patio heaters and a shop vacuum cleaner which provides the suction for the vacuum table.

All aspects of assembly, printing and design was done by Horizon Digital Print.
